Reviews for Clearlidz CL300 Front Hardtop Panel for 18-23 Jeep Wrangler JL and 20-23 Gladiator JT
Fantastic upgrade! Changes the entire feel of the Jeep. Opens it up, even gives you a little more headroom. It is pricy, but solid construction. There is more wind noise on highways, but most people that own Jeeps aren't concerned about outside noise.
This panorama clear top described in one word: wow! - This is the best upgrade I have done, and I did quite a few (Insta: @jeser). It's not cheap though, but once you have it on you know it's more than worth it and you don't wanna miss it anymore. It's a completely new driving experience, almost like a new car. - Love it!
I like this top. I’m not sure I love it.
It installs well enough, it performs as advertised. It does surprisingly well as far as heat in the sun, and I live in SUN Diego - but be prepared that it is still awfully bright in your cab. I’ve had a bit of wind noise in the back at highway speeds, no matter how much I crank it down.
And lastly the “ribs” in the plastic really do interrupt the view - I understand they add strength, but it’s not like you are going to be looking up at a clear view above you… more of a blended impressionistic painting.
But… I do like it for a cooler weather option.
Yes, you will get alot of compliments, and it does look great. I enjoy the views and it makes long drives a bit more enjoyable. However... it leaks, we've tried everything, but when it rains, it leaks pretty bad. It also feels so much hotter in the summer, I wear extra sunblock because I can just feel my skin burning. I don't think it's the lid itself but I can tell the difference when I switch tops, it does beat not having the top on at all in this Texas heat. Would I buy it again...meh, I'm over it.
It’s a cool idea and in general does what I expected. But I found it almost impossible to make it seal with no gaps. And note that it is way louder than the standard Freedom panels. Especially at highway speeds it is LOUD. Even worse if it’s a windy day. Just make sure you know what you’re getting into before you buy.
Want to love it, mostly I do, but disappointed that we can’t get it to sit quite right so that it doesn’t leak when it rains. Have had to add weather stripping to help from leaking but it doesn’t help with the wind noise, pick your evil - rain or wind lol. Otherwise it looks good and makes a nice sunroof.
looks good and simple to install. the bolts that were sent with the unit 2 of them were too short to screw in. had to modify the knobs to get them to just thread in.
Nice idea, looks great but leaks like crazy above passenger door. Wind noise is terrible
