Reviews for Quadratec Driver Side Dead Pedal for 18-25 Jeep Wrangler JL & Gladiator JT Including 4Xe
Good design and reviews
First off this is very solid and well built. Installation couldn’t be easier if you have socket extensions. Ideally for ergonomics you would like this dead pedal to align perfectly with a slightly pressed gas pedal so your torso is square and legs at the same height and angle. I found even with the furthest hole setting the pedal is a little more forward than the gas pedal. It’s pretty close but for a part designed for a custom vehicle fit this shouldn’t be a problem. Much better than nothing though!
Rubber cover, adjustable angle
Easy install , did a 3000 mile without it in my JL.. I know it will make a difference.
The instructions say use a 5mm hex key to put together the pedal. the video says 4mm
the video is correct. it sits solidly on the back wall. it has a small support thumb on the right hand side. this one doesn't seem to seat in my JL.(jk vs JL?) not a big deal as it is solid everywhere else. it just took me longer than it should because I figured I did something wrong. it's a 15 min install that took me 25 as I kept double checking due to this funky placement
all in all , not rocket science but these couple things threw me for a minute
Great Product.
Nice dead pedal. Problem is the directions want you to take the nut off of the mounting screw. On the 2020 Wrangler, the bold is on very very tight with a ton of Lock-Tire on the screw. Obviously not made to come off. I wound up picking up an 8mm nut from Lowes and put the dead pedal on using that.nut. The mounting screw was more than long enough. Works great.
Ordered for my wife’s JL 4xe and now seeing it won’t fit after looking at the question section. Says it’ll work with JL’s and wish the info section specified it won’t work with 4xe models. Can’t pick a 4xe to put in your “garage” on the site to specify what will and will not work for a 4xe.
Does not fit 4xe, there is a raised shroud around the bolt you would normally attach it to. You'll need a longer bolt, or to cut the bracket, to make it fit.
