The instructions were a little vague, but I went to their YouTube video and between the two, got her done. The ceiling in my shop is 15' up there, and there was just enough rope to handle it. Now I can suck that thing way up to my ceiling and drive under it.
Great bang for the buck.

This kit was very simple to install and works just as advertised. I have attempted a DIY hoist multiple times in the past and for the price and guaranteed performance, this is money very well spent!!

I have a LOVE/HATE relationship with this product. I LOVE the price and simplicity of easily lifting my top off my Jeep. I HATE trying to put the top back on...when I pull the cord(YES angled away from the wall) the Locking Cleat won't release the cord enough for the top to drop. I have to walk around pulling and giggling the tackle in order to VERY slowly release when after about 20min it stops working altogether a few inches off my Jeep.Then I have to release the locking straps the final 3-4inches and drop the top the rest of the way onto my Jeep...not very safe or practical. This is the second of these 4 point Quadratec Hoists that I've owned...the first one worked fine but this one has been a disappointment.

This lift was a big disappointment. Forget the 1-2 hour installation time. The instructions are so vague and confusing it took my son and I about 6 hours to finally figure it out mostly by trial and error. The video they show left out a lot of important details. Once installed, the lift does it's job, but I'm still afraid of walking under it for fear of it falling.
