For my 2016 wrangler JK?
The Superchips 3581-JT Flashcal+ for 20-24 Jeep Gladiator JT, it does have the capability to enable or disable certain features controlled by the Body Control Module (BCM), and enabling a backup camera is often one of these features.
This part is specifically for the 2020-2024 Jeep Gladiator. Not the 2016 Wrangler JK. For the JK you will need: Superchips 3581 Flashcal+ for 07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK

Has this product been tested on a 2023 gladiator yet?
Superchips does not provide coverage for 2023 and newer at this time. Sorry for the inconvenience.

When you reinstall the Flashcal+ after service, do all the programmed settings automatically return on installation, or do you have to reprogram?
