Reviews for Rubicon Express Extreme Duty Leaf Spring for 84-01 Jeep Cherokee XJ
My son wants it
Heavy duty for my lift on jeep
Cherokee Ronnie said so one best one to go for,
These lifted my 96 XJ 3.5 inches and improved the ride.
1994 XJ sport owner . Have a full length steel roof rack keep 33” spare tire up there, haul right around 85-110 lbs of recovery gear, axe shovel maxx tracks and usually tow something like my small jet boat or heavy utility trailer and these springs are just perfect balance for the loads.
XJ spring are weak these are the perfect solution. If you load your XJ and don’t want bottoming out or sagging get these beasts.
well built, good quality. good ride and load capacity.
they have several individual springs.
i used them to replace my worn, sagging and lower quality "tuff county" springs
im running around 5.5' lift - used in combination with shackle relocation brackets and JKS OGS651 shackles. i took smallest spring out of pack to get ride height a wanted.
sits just little high in back, i haul a 6x10 box trailer (1200lb) a lot for off road trips and these springs work so much better- sits leave with trailer.. and with jks shackles (had relocations previously)it rides better, and performs better off road. been on about a year now and no sag yet- with wheeling, flexing and hauling trailer.
very happy all around
happy all around.
Great product fast shipping works great rides great no complaints
My only complaint is that the leaf spring alignment dowel was a little too big, but I corrected it with only one setback throughout my swap, I needed longer u-bolts, my local parts house just so happen to have some in-stock.
Runs about an inch bigger than listed. Fairly stiff as well but otherwise good.
I put a set of these new springs on my XJ because I had broken the RE spring on the driver's side on the trail. After replacing both, I broke the passenger side RE spring on the first hard trail I went on! I'll be replacing Both springs again with better ones, with military style wrap for strength.
