The plastic is more rigid than the OEM flares. Time and the elements in the Dakotas will tell how durable they really are. lol Installation is straight forward, but the manufacturer should include a drilling template for the new holes. I would have paid a few bucks more for a simple paper template due to the time it saves. The toughest part of the install was fighting to hold the flares in place to get the right location to drill the holes. They look fine, but looks aren't everything.

“ Simply use the existing factory mounting holes.”. Is not true, see the attached pictures. I purchased these due to that statement.

These fender flares did not fit my 1992 Jeep Wrangler YJ without serious drilling and cutting. The holes did not line up with the factory holes and I had to return them.
