Reviews for Quadratec Softbond 5-Layer Car Cover for 76-06 Jeep CJ-7, Wrangler YJ & TJ
Lasted only one season. Outer layer started flecking off after just a few times of rolling it up. It did keep the jeep dry from over night dew. Also, it was very loose fitting in my old YJ.
Looking for a a good replacement now. I have already taken off my hard top for the season.
Located in The northern NJ and its been raining due to Ian. I lifted the cover and to my surprise it was wet. The cover protects it somewhat dont get me wrong. Perhaps light rain is no biggie but during rain like this it gets wet underneath
Nice Cover, is not waterproof in the south during heavy rains
Works great but buy a bag that actually fits it after original unpacking. Spent 10 frustrating minutes trying to jame it back in. Why do makers use the smallest possible bag?
Does it’s job and holds up well. I would give five stars if it wasn’t for the fact that I live on a farm and straw and grass likes to stick to the inter part of the cover and not come off. This results in scratched paint
Worked ok until it didn't. It fits fine, and isn't too hard to get on/off. But it no longer serves the purpose.
Several times now I have come out to a swamp in the floors (2-3 inches of water) and very wet seats. I bought this last summer, and it was fine until this spring. Now it isn't waterproof AT ALL and is basically useless, just trapping the water inside.
It has a 1-year warranty, which expired 3 weeks ago - I wish I had known the dates, as it started failing LONG before the year was out. Pretty disappointed with the longevity.
Great cover if you keep your jeep in the garage. Like others I bought this thinking I could leave my top off and this would provide protection from the rain. First rain hits and my jeep is soaked. Not happy! This cover provides little protection from the rain.
Leaked bad just after 2 years and the material started to disintegrate. It was not kept in harsh conditions. Only out in the elements a few times. Mostly kept the Jeep covered in the garage
If you're looking to protect your jeep from anything more than a heavy dew, pass on this. Waste of money. I'm headed to shop vac the water from my jeep now.
