Reviews for Skyjacker JC318BKSH 3" Sport Suspension Lift Kit with Rear Leaf Springs & Hydro Shocks for 84-01 Jeep Cherokee XJ with Chrysler 8.25" Rear Axle
Great lift kit on a budget. I'm an automotive student and it wasn't too difficult to install. The hardest part was getting old bolts off, drilling a new mounting hole for the track bar, and having to lightly shave the nubs (i forget the exact name) on the bottom of the leaf springs to fit in the axle.
I installed this kit just under a year ago, on my 98 two door XJ, I drive 45 miles each way to work back roads and interstate. The ride quality is good the look is good too. Off road quality is 100% better than the worn out suspension I replaced with the Skyjacker kit. This is a great kit for a lower cost build or replacement of worn stock suspension. Installation was simple, removal of the rusted seized parts was a little bit rough but it wasn’t terrible. I would absolutely recommend this kit to anyone interested in doing a daily driver occasional off road vehicle.
Installed & looks good a little stiff and hopefully will loosen up a little with some miles on it.
This kit looks and rides awesome on my 94 2 door XJ. BUT. I paired it with BFGoodrich All-Terrain TA KO2 31x10.5 r15 on the Tactik 15x8 steel wheels with 4 inches of backspace offered on Quadratec and the tires WILL rub pretty badly. when parking you have to drive like your in a 4 door longbed truck to avoid ripping off your stock flares.
