Reviews for Bestop Sunrider for Hardtop for 07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK
Top is outstanding, water tight and easy to use - now that I scowled at it a few times. It installs fairly easily, though a second set of hands is nice (though not required). The only annoyance was that the latch mechanisms in the front weren't intuitive to use and initially appeared to not reach the anchor loop on the Jeep. It wasn't clear at first how the latch opened and closed and it was stiff right out of the box. But now - now I have the perfect hybrid between a soft and hard top. I can finish my shift at the hospital, hop in my Jeep and pop the top like a convertible to blow off all the hospital air on the way home - but in the morning, I don't have to hassle with Freedom Panels but still mostly have the security of a hard top in the hospital lot overnight. Well worth the money.
Mix hard top and soft top
Open air
The ease of having your open air experience without constantly taking off your freedom tops.
The ease of opening the top where the freedom panels were.
I installed mine last night. It was easy just following the instructions! Went for a ride today with the top open. After 45 mph the rear support base catches the wind and vibrates really loud. Was not expecting that. I’m still keeping it but kind of disappointed. Just be aware of this as I did not know this before purchasing
Challenging to install but works flawlessly
Glad to have it and wouldn't give it back ever, BUT it does slightly leak in big rains or sideways rains. Small price to pay to be able to flip open or close the top at a red light and never wrestle with a 'freedom' panel again. More of a pain to install than the video shows, but we got it done in 45 minutes and some colorful language. Everyone should have one if they like having the top off but can't leave it off when unattended due to changing weather or security. So easy to use and enjoy once installed.
Had the product for a few months now and happy overall with it's function. Can't beat the convenience of opening the top and not worry about the freedom panels. Installation was straightforward even though I had to replace some of the hardware as they seemed a bit short as some people have mentioned in their reviews. Only four stars because the rain gutters do not line up with the hardtop's. They look fine from the side but angles out when viewed from the rear. Not sure if this is normal but I'm happy overall with the product.
Easy access to open roof driving, much easier than taking freedom panels on and off and having to store in cargo area. If price was more affordable, I would rate 5-stars.
