So tight could never get it on and off on my own after I had it fitted

Material and fit are on point. The hardware is crap. The first buckle broke in two after barely snugging it up. The next one, the buckle kept coming undone, again barely snugging it up.

After nearly 20 years of loyal use of Bestop products, I can no longer recommend this brand. The design and durability of my current top have been a profound disappointment, and the company's customer support has proven to be an obstacle rather than a partner.
After only two years of ownership, I have encountered the following critical failures:
Zipper Integrity: The insertion pin dislodged from the fabric tape, rendering the entire zipper useless as it now pulls apart immediately. When I reached out to Bestop for support, their only solution was to "order a new top."
Header Bar Failure: The windshield header bar structural integrity is insufficient. A gust of wind caught the roof and caused the bar to snap. Rather than standing behind the product, Bestop simply sold me the replacement part at my own expense.
Poor Design (Water Pooling): Because the design relies heavily on the roll bars for support, the fabric lacks the necessary tension to remain smooth. This causes significant water pockets to form during rainfall.
Lack of Functional Features: The design fails to include a mechanism to properly support or secure the rear window when rolled up, which is a standard expectation for this type of equipment.
Given that Bestop’s only solution to these recurring failures is to purchase an entirely new unit, I am currently weighing my options: either attempting to repair the zipper hardware myself using third-party components or switching to a different manufacturer entirely for my next replacement.
