Bestop Trektop NX Twill Soft Top Reviews
Purchased end of summer last year. Installed in late afternoon desert heat in sun. Very tight fit especially windows but it eventually fitted and water tight. Didn't remove windows till following mid spring and comes off fairly easy and goes on easier than initial install as it's stretched and conformed better. Header channel bar was concerned as I heard another brand can break or pull apart because install was extremely tight with plastic header bar. Also concerned poking holes where the screws go in but followed directions, read it twice and all went well. What is absolutely great is the sunrider top portion flips up easy and no dirty hands and goes back on easy which is great for warm days but cold desert nights. I don't have any complaints. Great canvass material and decently quiet ride. The cleaning liquid for it keeps it water repellent. Dust repellant...well nothing can't keep that clean in desert offroad dust.
Put this top on yesterday on my wife's '03 TJ. Giving this 4 stars only because the of the directions. Watch the video with the yellow Jeep. This is the only way to go. Leave the jeep out in the sun to heat up the top material. Once the top part is on, put the back window on and secure it to the tailgate. Then zip up the sides completely and then attach to the back window. Tuck into the door surrounds and work your way back. Looks great.
The top fits great. It was a tight fit. The temperature outside was cool so I had to go slow and let it stretch. I also bought the sliding glass window upper door. There is slight color difference due to the material, not a big concern for me. The ride is the same if not slightly quieter than stock.
