Reviews for Quadratec Quick Release Mirrors with Square Head for 97-18 Jeep Wrangler TJ, Unlimited, Wrangler & Wrangler Unlimited JK
For the price, these mirrors are hard to beat. Yes, they do vibrate but that is to be expected for the price, but they are still very functional. I have only had them blow in once on me and I was driving 65mph and a tractor-trailer passed me going the other way. Another note, they do whistle, but having the top off is a noisy experience, to begin with so the noise from the mirrors are not that bad. Again for the price point, these mirrors are hard to beat.
The mirrors are perfect. They vibrate some but work as required.
Easy to install, works fine also.
great mirror to use with half doors or no doors.
I'm giving these mirrors a 5 star rating, even though I find the thumb wheel bolts to be pretty useless. I couldn't get them tight enough to hold the mirrors steady. I had to wrap a rag around the plastic knob and use channel locks for additional torque. Personally, I believe a better solution would be a Torx head bolt, that takes the same size Torx bit you use to remove the doors. I looked for some, on my own, but the best thing I could find was some stainless steel button head cap screws in the size needed. They are M8-1.25×40. So, I had to spend about $2.50 for different bolts but, I would do it again. I like these mirrors. I do get a faint whistle from the one on the drivers side, as other reviewers have pointed out, but with the sound of mud tires, music playing, and the wind noise of driving without doors, you really have to listen for it.
easy to mount! I was able to leave the base on my Jeep, take the mirrors off and put my doors back on, makes for easy transitions from doors to no doors. It is a good product, but be aware there will be wind noise.
Easy
Love them!!!!!!
I have similar issues others have had with these mirrors. But, as far as I'm concerned. The issues are minor. They do whistle, but it's fixable. Had no issues with them blowing in at highway speeds. I was able to tighten them down enough by hand. For the price, I feel theit well worth if. I like'em.
Easy to install and well worth the price.
