Reviews for Power Stop K2798-36 Front & Rear Z36 Extreme Performance Brake Kit for 07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK
I've got nearly 130,000 miles on my '14 JKU. I had pad-slapped the rears with ceramic pads at around 40,000 miles (BLDs kill rear pads) and the fronts were original still. I overland, run a bit heavy with winch/bumper/wheels, and pull an armored teardrop.
My stock rotors were warped. Front and back were squeaking constantly. And it was pulling to the right on stops.
This PowerStop set-up is soooooo nice. Quiet, fade-free, linear. Stop after stop, on hills, commuting or pulling my trailer in the mountains.
Break-in was a piece of cake; just followed their instructions on their website.
People tell me to be concerned about the slots and holes on the trail but it doesn't worry me. So far, so great.
Just got these brakes installed. For non-mechanics I suggest watching some how to videos. Very simple install. I also suggest installing rear set first without removing fronts until rears are broke in. Then once seasoned move on to install fronts. I did this as a safety precaution with windows partly down to listen for any unusual noise during the brake in procedures. Great product. Great improvement to my 07-JK.
I have had this braking system on my 2015 Jeep for about a 1.5 years and they work great. I put on 35" tires and I stop well with this system. If your upgrading the size of your wheel you need to upgrade your brakes and I would say do the brakes first then tires. This system is great and works well...
Very glad I upgraded. Much better stopping in traffic, works great with the hill assists in my Rubicon on the trails.
Great brakes. Came with everything I needed to get installed. Highly Recommend!
Great bang for the buck. I’ve been running these a couple months now with no problems. Definite improvement In stopping power over the factory brakes.
Plus the pads don’t constantly spew brake dust all over the wheels. Went with the red calipers. They look awesome.
Only negative is after wheeling in mud it’s a bit of a hassle getting all the dirt out of the rotor holes. I have to use my power washer.
Perfect fit. The look and perform great.
Great kit! It was was an easy upgrade.
works great
They worked great and installed wonderfully. It took longer for me to chase around for tools to compress the brake pucks into the calipers. Jeep stops on a dime.
