Reviews for Crown Automotive 5003861AA 20-Gallon Sending Unit Assembly for 91-95 Jeep Wrangler YJ
I put this Part number in my 93' with a 4.0 Sept 30 2023 and its been fine up to 2025. I was at 183,000 miles and am now at 194,800. What I did/do on all these is cut out the stock rubber hose and replace it with GATES Submersible Fuel Line Hose. It's expensive for a 12" length at ~$40-50 but it's designed for it . Its also key to remember to use actual Fuel Injection hose clamps not the standard bands which draw in the notched portion. FI Clamps apply even pressure all the way around the hose. Anyways that's just about all I have to say about that. Good Luck.
Great replacement part…and now the fuel gauge works. Total bonus!
It's an assembled kit
It works
A great product, came carefully boxed. Was able to install with no problems. Works perfect for my jeep yj project vehicle. The fuel currently available E85 destroyed the previous original pump with rusting. Thank you Crown Automotive.
Old sending unit was failing got the new one installed it and seems to be working fine. The gasket I ordered was missing when the sending unit arrived I called support and they sent me a new one overnight awesome support.
Works great. Made the switch as the old one was in the process of failing.
Works great, fixed non working fuel gauge as well.
Perfect replacement and gauge reads as accurate as factory sending unit
The actual fuel pump is somewhat smaller than the Bosch unit that was in the vehicle. However, the overall unit fit into the tank nicely. The engine cranked immediately and the pressure is a steady 32 psi at the fuel rail. Be sure to order the gasket separately.
The fuel gauge seems to be working properly but have used less than one half of a tank thus far.
