Reviews for Crown Automotive 5003861AA 20-Gallon Sending Unit Assembly for 91-95 Jeep Wrangler YJ

As with a couple of other recent reviews of this part, the small length of hose between the pump and pickup failed catastrophically after about 5 months. I was fortunate that when it broke I was less than a mile from my house - very lucky, as a couple of days before, I'd driven my YJ from southern Colorado to Dallas in 100 degree heat - had this thing failed then, I'd have been in a world of hurt. Previously I'd preferentially purchased Crown parts, but this is such a downer that I may move away from them and buy OMIX parts instead. I will be able to replace the small broken length of hose, but this is not something that one should have to deal with on a part like this.

The 2 inch hose connection for pump to the unit blew in half 4 days after i installed it amd left me stranded

Almost exactly 100 miles after installing this sending unit it failed. Dropped the tank and removed the unit to see that the small fuel line that attaches the metal line to the top of the pump had split.
