I installed the Kicker 6.75 speakers in both the dash and the soundbar in my JKU. It has been my plan to keep the stock head unit but upgrade the speakers - a dull looking HU is less of a temptation to thieves, I imagine. Although the dash and soundbar speakers are listed as different products, the speakers themselves are actually identical and only the instructions differ. With the 4 speakers plus some polyfill stuffing, I find the sound quality vastly improved across the audible range, and I have tried the system with the soft top open (though I have not fully removed the doors) and I believe the stock HU plus these speakers is adequate for noise conditions in most normal driving (not highway, most likely). That stock sound distortion at volume is all gone as far as I can tell. For those of you who are keeping an eye on your payload: Each new speaker weighs one pound more than one of the stock speakers (within an ounce, anyway). Install all four and your curb weight just gained 4 pounds. At some point I expect to add the Quadratec super tweeters, but not yet.
I replaced the 2 dash speakers and the 2 soundbar speakers with these along with the Quadratec JK-TWEET15 Super Tweeters in the dash. Oh my gosh what a difference!!!
I have decided not to replace the factory radio the sound is so improved! I almost don't need a sub with these. I added a little poly fill material in the dash boxes and in the cavities in the soundbar which improves the sound at high volume and removes "droning" with strong mids.
This was like buying an entire system by just swapping speakers.

Improved sound over factory speakers. Installed the sound bar first and made such a difference ordering the dash speakers now
Swapped my stock speakers for these kickers in the sound bar, the difference is night and day! With the top down you can hear the music crystal clear and the sound is amazing! I will be upgrading the dash speakers next!
Great sound quality
Ordered both the dash and sound bar pairs of these speakers and after installing, I can thankfully say they were well worth the money. I highly recommend using a decent amount of polyfill especially in the dash speakers to improve sound quality and prevent any rattling. Overall a very solid upgrade.
