Reviews for Quadratec LED Tail Lights for 07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK
Almost too bright! Honestly, I'm amazed these are DOT compliant. The tail lights seem like a good brightness but holy crap don't light at the brake lights straight on unless you want to keep seeing them when you close your eyes! Makes me feel bad for whoever ends up at a stoplight behind me. Guess I'll see if I get any complaints. If I'm being picky, I wish these were a little less bright straight on and brighter when viewed from an angle - the stock incandescent tail lights do a much better job dispersing the light uniformly.
Install's a breeze. No hyperflash and the mounting clips for the resistors seem sturdy. As mentioned in other reviews, be careful not to overtighten or the lens will crack. It's easier to do than you'd think. -1 star because the outside of the right light has a small chip in it. I saw one other review with the same thing; I'm guessing a manufacturing defect. Nobody will ever notice so not worth fussing over.
Very easy to equip and gives off an abundance of light when braking.
got these tail lights part f the headlight kit about 6 months ago super bright look good but i replaced the reverse bulb with a LED one and there horrible im not sure if there is no reflector inside the reverse part of it or what but the leds from the brake light part put more light out not to happy about that but other than that there good for the price
Beautiful lights. Unfortunately, when the instructions say “do not overtighten”, they mean “just barely tighten or the lens WILL crack and then shatter at the corner”. That is 100% my fault, and I’ll just keep these lights until it annoys me enough to buy another kit. QT doesn’t offer the lights as single units, which is (IMHO) a poor practice. So, definitely buy these lights, but be SUPER SUPER SUPER careful when tightening the screws. -1 for fragility.
Much brighter than stock, and the install was very straightforward. Very reasonable price. Deducted a star for a blemish on the right taillight, looks like a small chip during manufacturing. Overall they're great replacements for the dim stock lights.
These are an awesome replacement for the stock taillights. Running lights, brake lights, and turn signals are all significantly brighter than stock. The stock appearance is also great. The only knock I have on them is that I wish the reverse lights were brighter. They are certainly brighter than the stock reverse lights though! Would definitely recommend to others and would absolutely buy again.
I got these exceptionally fast this is my first time ordering quadratec branded tail lights. The good; functionality is great. Lights light is fast. They are mostly OEM look. The LEDs are exceptionally bright. They are DOT approved. The bad; The plastic seems to be super, the kit utilizes your old screws. I have a 2011 built model year 2012. The screws are longer than the light kit. These were screwed in and cracked the edge of the headlight. It's cosmetic it did not break all the way through. All the plastic seems subpar. I feel the next iteration is probably going to be phenomenal. I have trust and faith in quadratec to improve on their product. I hope next time they just offer high quality screws with the kit and use a different plastic for the edges where the screws mount. Other than that thank you Quadratec staff.
Much brighter, and better looking, than stock. However after having installed for less than 5 months the drivers side brake/turn signal stopped working. Had they not stopped working it would have been 5 stars.
1st set of these tail lights the diver side brake light fail completely after 2 years due to either cold sub-zero shock or ballast resistor failer. tail light were under warranty and was replaces. 1/30/22
No immediate issue with the 2nd set of tail lights.

2nd set of tail lights the passenger side brake lights fail but the side marker and backup lights still works. only had them for 2 months. currently on hold with quadratic to hopefully resolve the issue.
Very bright, but one light is brighter than the other when braking. Trying to find out why this is happening.
