Reviews for Bestop 2-Piece Doors for 07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK
These doors do exactly what they are supposed to do. They keep the seats and dash dry. You will be disappointed if you want to keep your carpet in and keep it dry.
I bought these, tore the carpet out and lined the entire tub. Pulled the drain plugs and never looked back! They are awesome. I run them all summer, put the hard doors back on in winter. Pop them off and throw them in the back in seconds. Combine that with the NX soft top and the jeep is stripped or dressed up in minutes wherever you are.
4 stars only because they are a pain to fit. You have to fiddle for awhile. Word of advice, don't cut the rubber till you have these fitted right and you learn where they leak! Point the excess rubber out of the jeep, stuff it under the velcro. Most of the water runs in there.
These doors do not create a seal that will prevent leaking. Rain will get in. With that said, soft doors are the greatest thing to own in summer. Can go doors off in 1 minute and throw the doors in trunk just in case it rains. Great buy but expect water to get in.
These function as expected, however I did own an 86 Wrangler with a soft top years ago. These will leak in the rain, and they do flap at higher speeds. But, the convenience of pulling these off is far worth it. I would suggest you remove the drain plugs in both floor boards.
I like these doors a lot. They are not water tight though.
I love the convience of being able to take the doors off and throw them in the back and not have to worry about damaging them but still have doors for bad weather. Good piece of mind when you commute an hr to work but like riding doorless too!
These doors were pretty simple to put on. The one door went on perfect and the other I had to mess with the adjuster and also bend the top part of the door in to cover up the gap between jeep and the door. However The are great awesome doors, very light, and works great.
was a easy install once you got the doors latched on and adjusted, only thing wish the doors fit a bit better but I am assuming once they get broken in they will fit better, but over all do really like these doors did buy them for summer only after all
I bought these with the matching rear set for my JKU. The rear doors and uppers installed fairly easily, with minimal issue. Both lower front doors also installed without too much trouble, although they were a little tight. But that's where the good stops.
These front uppers were very poor-fitting and despite following the installation instructions exactly, I could not get a proper fit with them. It is recommended to start with the front pin, but when I did that, the rear pins would not properly fit in their sockets. Adjusting the collars made no difference because the alignment of the sockets and the pins were so far off. If the front pin was seated properly, a good angle for fitment could not be achieved on the middle and rear pins, no matter the degree of adjustment made. This was the same case for both the front driver and passenger doors.
It took me hours to get the pins even close to engaging with the sockets and they're still not fitting properly. Since I already took my doors off, I have to use these with releasable zip ties to keep the uppers in place. And even with the zip ties, there's still not full contact with the velcro flaps. Even worse, almost all of the powder coat is damaged on the retaining pegs as a result of the fitment issue. I can only assume that there's some sort of manufacturing defect with this front pair, since neither of the front uppers will correctly engage with the lower door sockets. Considering that one of the rotary latch paddle handles arrived bent from the factory, that definitely seems possible. My Jeep has never been in an accident, so that should not be a factor. I've also successfully rebuilt my Jeep's valvetrain and worked on the transmission's valve body, so I don't think it's a problem with my ability to follow the directions.
will need to adjust for decent fit, it was what I expected
Hard to assemble (time consuming). Over time it didn't shut properly. Had it for 3 years. May try a different brand next time.
