Cost, simplicity.

I love this hoist. So glad I finally took the plunge and got one. It's a bit slow to crank, even with a drill, but that's alright, I'm not usually in that much of a rush.

The online instructions from Lange helped me make sure I did it exactly right.

Got this up in no time. Makes it a breeze to take my top off by myself. I usually lower the top and put it in the corner. I have plenty of room. I’m just afraid one of my girls will knock their head on it.

Easy install works as advertised. A drill definitely makes it easier to get up and down.

Works well for my ‘97 Wrangler hard top. Installation was straightforward. Working overhead is not easy but a good electric bolt/screw driver makes light work of it. Once installed, winch operation is smooth and relatively effortless. The best part is that the top has a place to hang out, out of the way, until needed again come winter.

The bang for the buck is huge with this item. Definitely recommended.

This is a great product! It holds my top up and out of the way and makes it so much easier to take off and put back on. If you plan on installing this I would make sure to have your top in the floor so you can use it to create tension for when you roll the cable up the first time. I didn't do this and when I lowered it later it jumped a lot because it wasn't tight when I lifted it. The cranking does take a while but it's way easier than manual lifting. If you have a top that is painted you may want to add padding between the strap and top.

After watching videos and taking the time to line cables, studs, and brackets up, product works great!
