Description
Give your Jeep Wrangler JL or Gladiator JT the protection it deserves with ARB Competition Differential Covers. These heavy-duty differential covers are CNC machined from solid nodular iron. They are finished in a tough, highly corrosion resistant powder coat and clear coat. For your convenience, ARB integrates rare-earth magnets into both the drain and fill plugs.

Heavy-Duty Construction: ARB uses CNC machined high-tensile solid nodular iron structure for their differential covers. This material is harder and stronger than carbon steel. For increased durability and reduced flex, ARB uses a cross-brace design that adds more than 1300 Nm/deg (960 ft/lbs) of torsional rigidity to the entire axle assembly. To avoid corrosion, ARB both powder coats and clear coats their differential covers.
User Friendly Design: Unlike most differential covers, ARB differential covers have both a fill and drain hole. Both included plugs have built-in rare-earth magnets to collect metal particles. The fill hole plug features an integrated dip stick that makes checking gear oil a breeze.
High-Clearance: By using a low-profile design, ARB Competition Differential Covers improve off-road approach and departure angles. Both the drain plug and mounting bolts are recessed, so they will not hang up on obstacles, or get damaged on the trail.

Do these covers give your rig more fluid capacity over stock??
Yes, but with an important caveat. The ARB Competition Differential Cover does have an increased overall interior volume compared to the stamped-steel factory cover, which allows it to hold a slightly higher volume of gear oil. However, the exact amount you should fill it depends heavily on your suspension setup:
For Stock or Low-Lift Drivelines: Even though the cover can hold more fluid, ARB explicitly instructs installers to match the factory oil fill height. Because the ARB fill plug sits much higher on the cover than the stock fill hole, filling it all the way up to the plug on a stock-height rig will severely overfill the differential. This leads to oil foaming, excessive pressure, and gear oil blowing out of your axle vent tubes.
For Lifted Rigs with Rotated Pinion Angles: If your Wrangler or Gladiator has a significant suspension lift that has altered or rotated the differential pinion angle upward, the factory fill line is no longer accurate. The ARB cover's high-mount filler hole and included magnetic dipstick are designed specifically for this—allowing you to safely run extra fluid capacity to ensure the pinion bearings stay completely lubricated at steeper angles.
Pro-Tip for Installation: Before throwing your stock cover away, sit it flat on a workbench next to the new ARB cover. Run a straight edge across from the bottom of the factory fill hole to the ARB cover, and use a file to scribe a custom "full" mark on the ARB dipstick so you always know exactly where your baseline capacity sits.
