Currie took their already more than capable Dana 60 Crate Axle system and improved it with their Extreme 60VXR. This bolt in axle features an upgraded housing, brakes, and steering components that are even stronger and more durable than the standard 60. This 35 spline chromoly axle can easily run up to 40” tires on your Wrangler JK, and is tough enough to handle the horsepower of aftermarket engine conversions. The reverse cut Dana 60™ gears are available in three different common ratios. With the available selectable lockers you will not need to worry about getting stuck out on the trail again. Every aspect of this Crate Axle was meticulously engineered for ultimate performance, strength, reliability, and length of service.

Designed to Handle Severe Off-Road Abuse This Axle is Tough Enough up to Run 40” Tires on V8 Swapped or Hemi Conversion Jeeps.

High Clearance Built-In Skid Plate Constructed from AR400 Hardened Steel for Ultimate Strength and Rigidity. Protects the Differential Housing and Can Slide Over Rocks and Obstacles Better Than the Competition’s Iron or Mild Steel Skids.

Heavy Duty High Pinion Stage-2 Extreme 60 Axle Housing Manufactured from Nodular Iron with Thicker Reinforced Walls and Webbing. The Stage-2 Extreme 60 Housing has 9lbs More Material than the Standard 60. The Axle Tubes Are Over Twice as Strong as Factory 3.5” Diameter and .375” DOM. Features Red Nodular Iron Differential Cover with Integrated Upper Control Arm Mount.

Upgraded Input Yoke Accepts 1350 U-Joints. This Eliminates One of the Common Factory Driveline Points of Failure.

Full Float Design With Tough 1.5” Thick 35 Spline 4340 Chromoly Currie Performance Axle Shafts. 2.5” Currie Performance 4340 Chromoly Spindles Ensure 100, you’re your Wrangler’s Weight is Transferred to the Axle Housing and not the Shafts. Pre-Installed Tone Rings Retain Factory ABS and ESP.

Multiple Bolt Patterns Available Select from 5x5.5, 6x5.5, or 8x6.5. The 5x5.5 Hubs are Also Drilled for 5x5 bolt Pattern. Even Though the 13” are Over 1” Larger than Stock Wrangler Rear Brakes, they are Compatible with Factory Calipers. Currie Also Includes Zinc Coated Caliper Brackets.

Improved Clearance for Larger Tires This Axle is 4.625” Wider than Factory (70” Between Wheel Mounting Surfaces).
