Because the Jeep Wrangler TJ steering box sticks out below the frame, it is easy to damage on the trail. A steering box skid plate is a must have for any off roader. Steering boxes are expensive to replace and do not hold up well to scrapes and bumps from rocks. JCR designed their Steering Box Skid Plate to withstand anything you throw at it.
