The biggest hassle of owning a Wrangler is switching tops. Running the same top all year is just not an option. Make the change from your winter hardtop to your summer soft top a breeze with the Lange Originals Power Hoist-A-Top. Without the use of a hardtop hoist, it takes multiple people to remove a Jeep hardtop. However, with the assistance of one of Lange Original’s Hoist-A-Tops you can take the top off your Wrangler JL 4 Door alone with the push of a button. The balanced steel frame easily lifts and stores factory and aftermarket hardtops. With rubber coated hooks, you do not need to worry about damaging or modifying your hardtop. Lange Original’s rear Smart Hook™ ensures that the rear lift gate glass stays closed and out of the way for storage.

Do not waste your money on product!!!! Very poor quality. Good luck with the instructions, they are completely worthless. Plan on spending $500 for a $80 winch.
Don’t waste your money on this product. I would build your own bracket and buy a hoist. This is made for a JK not a JL. The foam pieces don’t align in place close enough for roof pieces and you have to take back window clamp off to have in fit properly on the JL every time you lower.
I called customer service. I did get a call back from a very nice person to just confirm I did have the correct order and unfortunately it will not work how correctly for JL.
Aside from the convenience of having a power lift mechanism, for the price point I am not pleased. Mine came missing some of the padding and hardware. I had to supplement with some home engineering. Also, I feel the design is a bit poor. The lift only connects to the rack at one point, meaning you have to re-position the pulley at different points of the rack depending on if you load your front panels on or not. So if you set up the balance to include front panels, you MUST have them on there in order to lift the top from your Jeep. If you don't climb up there and load the panels (usually need a ladder), the top will not lift balanced and will tip back, possibly damaging it. The balance is also easily thrown off if your back window pops open (which can happen), A second pulley and second anchor point would EASILY solve this problem, and for the money paid I would have expected better design.
