Quadratec Tow Hitch Wiring Harness Reviews
Easy install. Took just less than an hour. Simple plug and play system no need to splice into the stock wires. I have a 2 door so there was some extra length of wire so I just looped it and tied it up away from the exhaust near the brake booster. Would definitely recommend as a simple way to add 4pin harness.

What the Module Is For:
Isolates the Trailer from the Jeep’s Computers: Modern vehicles like the Wrangler JL use sophisticated CAN-bus electrical systems and body control modules (BCMs) that monitor current draw. If you splice or tap directly into modern factory tail lights without an isolated module, the Jeep's computer can throw error codes, cause hyper-flashing, or shut down the lighting circuit entirely due to unexpected electrical draw.
Draws Power Directly from the Battery: The module typically runs a dedicated power wire up to the vehicle's battery. It uses the Jeep's tail light signals merely as low-current trigger inputs, while drawing the actual electrical power to illuminate the trailer lights straight from the battery. This protects your Wrangler's sensitive factory electronics from overloads, shorts, or feedback spikes coming from the trailer.
Independent Power & Signals: The wiring harness simply taps into your Jeep's factory tail light signals (running, brake, and turn signals) to send the correct electrical pulses through the 4-way flat connector.
LED Compatibility: Trailer LED lights draw significantly less current than incandescent bulbs and operate perfectly fine off standard 12V vehicle trailer harnesses. Your Jeep's incandescent bulb system will not interfere with or restrict the trailer's LED functionality.
