Thule's versatile ThruRide roof top bike carrier can accommodate a variety of bikes with 12-20mm thru-axles without the need for extra adapters. It fits 9mm quick-release hubs with an included non-locking adapter. Installing the carrier to your Wrangler's roof rack system is quick and easy and mounting your bike is even easier.
First, remove your bike's front wheel and insert the ThruRide's "skewer" through the axle and tighten it into place (*Note: Be careful not to over-tighten). Next, with the front cam lever open, lower your bike onto the rack with the front axle and skewer dropping into the open front clamp and the rear wheel resting on the rack's rear cradle. Be sure to apply the proper amount of force when closing the front cam lever. If force is to loose or to firm, it can be changed with the cam's adjustment wheel. Use the rear wheel cradle's ratcheting strap and Rim Protector to secure your bike to the rack. And that's it! The ThruRide should have you on the trails in no time!
