Quadratec is currently recruiting and interviewing for a knowledgeable and reliable Product Development Manager to join our fast-paced team. The ideal candidate will lead our Product Development team and their projects while improving speed and quality, maximizing efficiency, increasing visibility, and meeting/exceeding deadlines.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in automotive Product Development
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong ability to empower teams while holding them accountable
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong international negotiating and problem-solving skills
- Experience in automotive parts/accessories design and Computer Aided Design (CAD)
- Strong experience in international supply-chains
- Willingness to travel internationally (1-3 times annually)
- Patent law experience a plus
Duties and Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities will include managing a team responsible for:
- Working with the marketing team to determine the appropriate automotive aftermarket products to develop or update
- Designing new products in multiple categories under a variety of house-brands
- Creating and test-fitting prototype products
- Identifying, developing, managing, and sourcing product specific-production from domestic and overseas manufacturing partners
- Quality Assurance and Quality Control both in-factory and post-manufacturing
- Managing legal and patent issues
- Developing packaging and user instructions/manuals
- Post-production Customer Service Support
