Quadratec is currently recruiting and interviewing for a knowledgeable and reliable Supply Chain/Purchasing Manager to join our fast-paced team. The ideal candidate will have ownership of inventory strategies and supply chain efficiencies to maximize sales, margin and turns and play a critical role helping to build, manage and optimize a complex procurement system that continues to evolve and expand.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
- 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in automotive Product Development
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Previous working experience as a Supply Chain or Procurement Manager
- Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company’s success
- Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management and relevant software
- Understanding of market dynamics and sound business judgement
- Strong project management and leadership skills
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Analyze supply chain data to proactively identify bottlenecks and other issues, turning raw data into information and insights, evaluating and reporting on KPIs
- Identify, develop, manage, and source product specific-production from domestic and overseas manufacturing partners
- Implement and manage Supply and Demand Planning strategies, capabilities and processes to improve planning process and performance
- Manage the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives to optimize spending, improve lead-times, accelerate speed to market, and reduce supply chain risks
- Your influence will be key to shaping the business and family feel in your fulfillment or distribution center
- Manage supply planning and procurement business processes in accordance with company policies and practices.
- Communicate and negotiate with suppliers and vendors for more profitable deals
- Collaborate with other departments to develop metrics for gauging inventory level needs and then maintaining those levels throughout the year
- Take the lead in creating profitable ways to manage obsolete and slow-moving stock to help offset losses
- Manage the company's day-to-day purchasing activities and ensure that all purchasing agents are meeting their personal performance standards
