Description
Garvin Wilderness Expedition Racks are designed to carry your gear wherever your trail takes you. The rack is designed to work with either hard or soft tops. The racks mount securely to the front windshield brackets and to the rear body of the Jeep in two locations. Drilling required for installation. The Expedition Rack can hold up to 300 lbs off-road or on road. The specially engineered tilting feature allows you to raise the unloaded rack for lowering or raising the soft top. Rack is 54"W by 72"L and has 4"H sides. Fits 1997-2006 Jeep TJ/Rubicon Wrangler.

Have a slightly older version of this bumper and am impressed with the solid quality of the build. No rattles and it will certainly outlast the jeep. The point of me leaving this review is that I recently called Garvin because I had lost two of the mounting brackets. Customer service was great and they are shipping me the brackets and bolts for a very reasonable price.

Got here in a couple days. Took me about 5 hours to put on but I was by myself and I'm not a pro. Everything went smooth with the install and the directions were great. Very high quality rack! Wouldn't go with any other one. Def best on the market.

How much weight will the rack hold when the Jeep isn't moving? I want to put a roof top tent on the rack with two adults but we weigh well over 300 lbs combined.
The Expedition Rack can hold up to 300 lbs off-road or on road. This should not be used for supporting the added weight of a Roof top tent and 300 lbs of occupancy. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Once installed on a stock TJ what is the added height of the Jeep. Im looking to find the clearance once installed.
The highest point is 39" above the top of the rear tail light housing. Thank you for the question.
