RealTruck Superlift Superide 1.5" Lift Kit Reviews
Best buy in years
This kit was perfect for my 88 YJ. I had sagging, warped leafs and the new springs lifted my jeep, gave it a better ride and stronger stance. Superlift also has amazing customer service. I lost a bushing, gave them a call and they sent me a whole new set of bushings in 2 days. You may need to drop your transfer case as well, I'm getting some shaking from the driveline now that it's been lifted but the kit comes with spacers and new hardware for a t-case drop.
I'm very satisfied with these springs. They're obviously much heavier duty than the original factory springs, but I'm a bit disappointed they didn't come with replacement nuts/bolts to tie into the shackles. Not a big deal, I ran to the hardware store and bought new grade 8 hardware, but it was a minor hassle. I much prefer brand new hardware if I'm putting in everything else brand new. Due to my original 1995 era factory springs being a bit worn and saggy, I ended up with an effective lift of anywhere from 3" to 3.5" depending on where measured on the body.
Questions

Front Leaf Springs: Typically designed with a lower spring capacity (around 840 lbs) since the front end carries primarily the engine weight rather than cargo or towing payload.

Here is why:
Stroke and Extended Length: Shocks designed for a 0–1 inch lift have a shorter overall travel and stroke length. When you add a Superlift Superide 1.5" Lift Kit, your suspension sits higher and provides increased downward travel (droop).
Risk of Over-Extension: If you keep your current 0–1" shocks, they will become the limiting factor for your suspension droop. As the axle drops during normal driving over bumps or off-road articulation, the shocks will top out prematurely, which can harshly jar the vehicle, stress the shock mounts, and potentially damage the internal valving of the shocks.
To ensure proper suspension travel, ride quality, and component longevity, you will want to upgrade to shocks rated for a 1.5" to 2" lift (such as matching Superlift shocks designed for this specific height range) before installing the kit.
