Made with the highest quality USA - T304 stainless, these direct bolt-in systems are manufactured to provide outstanding performance and a great fit. All systems come with standard with 3/8" thick flanges, merge-style collectors and severe duty metallic substrate cats. For your convenience RIPP has also added all the plug-and-play Oxygen sensor extensions, and O2 bungs for relocating factory O2's. As an added feature, RIPP made sure the stock exhaust heat shields bolt back in place, so you don't run into trouble with under hood plastics. Don't be fooled by short tube header design brand or price. The RIPP header truly delivers on its promise. They are a three piece bolt together design and TIG welded and hand ported 3/8" thick flanges mate perfectly and make sure the gaskets will not leak. Fully welded 3 into 1 merge collectors assure equal exhaust pulsations. Also included are two - 200 cell ultra high flow metallic substrate cats. In short these are the best hand crafted header for that V6 and will provide on average of 35lbs/ft or torque 600 RPM sooner than stock and 25 rear-wheel HP gains with excellent response throughout the RPM range.

Huge improvement that you can feel . Just have patience when installing them as it will take some time and twisting and turning to get them in . Absolutely look them
Ripp Headers and exhaust system with diablo tuner $2000 was received without O2 extensions. Nice! After everything was installed the mechanic comes up to me and says the box doesn’t have the extensions. Had to call RIPP to order them and now check engine light and engine misfires on my JK going back home. Had a blast today, thanks RIPP. Once installed complete will update on performance.

While the RIPP Supercharger kit itself often has a 50-state legal version, the part number you provided (1JK38LTHDR1000HSH) is actually for RIPP Long Tube Headers, not the supercharger itself. There are two main reasons this will impact your emissions status:
1. "Off-Road Use Only" and "Racing Vehicle Only" Status
RIPP explicitly classifies this header system as "Off-Road Use Only" or " Only for racing vehicles that may never be used, registered or licensed for use, upon a highway" and notes that it is NOT CARB Certified. Even though the kit includes high-flow metallic substrate catalytic converters, they are not the factory units. In states with visual inspections (like CA, NY, or CO), an inspector will see that the factory manifold and catalytic converters have been replaced with non-exempt aftermarket parts, leading to an automatic visual failure.
Under Federal EPA law, it is technically illegal to move the location of the factory catalytic converters on a street-driven vehicle. Long Tube Headers (like this kit) move the converters further down the exhaust stream to increase power. Shorty Headers are usually the only type that can receive CARB/EPA approval because they keep the converters in the stock location.
