Description
When you have had enough shivering through the winter in your Wrangler, restore the climate system back to its original strength. The Crown Automotive Heater Blower Motor for Jeep CJ & Wranglers will accept the factory fan or replacement fan and hook up to the original heater box for a tight fit. The motor on this new unit is larger in diameter than the original so the opening through the firewall will need to be enlarged to accept a 3" diameter motor. A new seal will be required during installation as well.

It will increase the volume of heat available for defrost and heater.

Does not say cutting is necessary on CJ's. The description only says cutting is necessary on Wranglers.
