Mopar Fuel Tank Reviews
This is my 4th gas tank for my 2011 Jeep JK. I am the original owner of my Jeep. I bought it with 7 miles on the odometer in April 2011. Keep in mind, this gas tank, sold by Quadratec is a Mopar brand part. I've learned recently the JK 4-door started as an experiment. That is why it took several years to get everything figured out. My jk was built March 14, 2011. Let's call it a category "A" vehicle. If my jk would have been built April 3, 2011, It would be a category "B" vehicle. What this translates to is a "mid-year change" (dated March 30, 2011) to something that would be dependent on the date of manufacture. Case in point, I bought this new gas tank (Feb 2026) and found out later (after removing the old tank and attempting to transfer the fuel pump from the old tank to the new tank) I needed to replace my old but functioning original fuel pump. Prior to the line in the sand I need "this" fuel pump for "this" reason. Post line in the sand I need "that" part number for "that" reason. Prior to my new gas tank/fuel pump, I've replaced the gas tank twice before and I was able to keep my original fuel pump both times. What I have learned in all this, know the date your vehicle was built. That can prepare you to spend or save on something.
It's not broken and it will fit my jeep.
