Description
No matter where you ride, you count on your Jeep’s suspension for dependable handling, shock absorption, comfort and control. As an important component supporting that system, your rear axle snubber helps soak up impacts while damping noise, vibration and harshness. The jounce bumper is a small part, but it plays a huge part in delivering stability and shock absorption on every terrain. Swap out your old bump stop with this Crown Automotive Rear Axle Snubber. Each bumper is made to stop excessive upward wheel movement and metal-on-metal contact, saving your suspension from damage. Get the smoother ride you’ve come to expect from a durable part crafted by a trusted manufacturer of OE Jeep replacement components for over 50 years.

I could have purchased this part from Amazon for $3 less (each), but I don't Amazon anymore. I assumed that they were sold each not a pair.

Hi! Will these work okay with a '98 Cherokee Sport running 1.5" shackles?

The Crown Automotive 52002393 will physically fit your '98 Cherokee Sport with 1.5" shackles. However, it will engage later in the suspension travel due to the lift. Whether this is "okay" depends on your driving style and how much off-roading or heavy loading you do. If you frequently encounter situations where you bottom out the rear suspension, you might want to consider longer snubbers designed for lifted vehicles.

I have a 3" lift on my cherokee will this work with it or should I go to a lower one

The Crown Automotive 52002393 bump stop is listed as having a 4.1-inch height.
Whether this will "work" with a 3-inch lift depends on a few factors and what you mean by "work":
Intended Function: Bump stops are designed to prevent the suspension from fully compressing and causing damage to other components. With a lift kit, you might need longer bump stops to properly limit up-travel, especially if the lift includes longer springs or different suspension geometry.
Current Bump Stops: What is the length of your current bump stops? If they are significantly shorter than 4.1 inches, then the Crown Automotive 52002393 could potentially work by providing more down-travel protection.
Lift Kit Specifics: The manufacturer of your 3-inch lift kit might recommend specific length bump stops to ensure proper suspension function and prevent issues. It's always best to consult the lift kit instructions.
Tire Size: If you've also installed larger tires with your 3-inch lift, longer bump stops might be necessary to prevent the tires from rubbing against the fender wells during compression.
In summary: A 4.1-inch bump stop could physically fit with a 3-inch lift. However, to determine if it will work correctly for your specific setup and provide the necessary protection, you should:
Measure your current bump stops.
Consult the installation instructions for your 3-inch lift kit for recommended bump stop lengths.
Consider your tire size and potential for rubbing.
Without this information, it's impossible to definitively say if the Crown Automotive 52002393 will be the correct bump stop for your 3-inch lift. It might be too long, limiting your up-travel more than necessary, or it might be the right length to provide adequate protection.

Will this work with a 5in lift

You would want to pair this with extended brakes lines at the rear, since there is not really a large selection of extended bump stops to use.
