Although the install of the new gasket was easy, removing the old adhesive was time consuming. This gasket has an adhesive strip. I fitted the gasket in place with the film still on the adhesive. I then lifted one side, passenger side, away and peeled the film away as I pressed the gasket working right to left. Easy install good fit.

Is this the plastic “L” shaped piece, the seal, or both?
The Fairchild Industries D4085 is the rubber weatherstrip seal only. It does not include the plastic "L-shaped" retainer.
