My 1976 Jeep CJ7 has factory switch and motor that requires 3 wires to operate. 1 black ground, 1 orange power(low speed), 1 red power(high speed). Im confused on how 1 power wire will operate correctly with factory switch? I don't believe my switch has a resistor in it to lower voltage for low speed.

What switch is used with this motor?
This uses the OE switch to function.

is this picture correct on showing only two wires for a 2 speed motor?
Yes there is an internal resistor to control to variable speeds.
