Boom Mat Hardtop Sound Deadening Headliner Reviews
I thought it was a fun project and it reduced a lot of road noise. I am able to go from neighborhood driving to highway without adjusting the stereo volume. I've got ear plugs for long trips that I may not need in the future. It's still a noisy Jeep but I can carry on a conversation now. Well worth the effort.
night and day difference. keeps the jeep cool, and i can actually hear my friends in the jeep now
OMG!! This is the first thing that I should have done to my TJ. It's amazing and what a difference it makes! Now if I could do something about my box of rocks NV 3550 transmission.
Questions

Surface Preparation for Textured OEM Hardtops: Because factory OEM hardtops feature a textured fiberglass finish, proper prep is critical to ensure a permanent bond.
Thoroughly clean the interior roof surface using an automotive wax and grease remover or isopropyl alcohol to eliminate any mold release agents, dust, or residue.
Ensure the surface and ambient temperature are within the recommended range (typically above 60°F to 70°F) during installation to activate the pressure-sensitive adhesive fully.
Use a roller or firm hand pressure across the entire surface of each panel to press the adhesive deep into the textured grain of the fiberglass.
