Whether you're wheeling through remote trails or just parked at the grocery store, securing your valuables in a Jeep can feel like a gamble. Soft tops, open cabins, and limited lockable storage make it easy for opportunists to strike. And while glove boxes and center consoles offer some protection, they’re hardly foolproof.
That’s where the Lost Canyon Under Seat Security Box shines.
With its 16-gauge heavy-duty steel construction and secure tubular lock, this thing is built for an environment where topless Jeeps roam and you need somewhere safe to store your important stuff.
Compatible with JL Wranglers and JT Gladiators, it’s a plug-and-play upgrade that feels like OEM quality.
As we said before, this box is built from 16-gauge cold-rolled steel and finished in a textured black powder coat, making it appear just as solid as it performs. The low-profile design keeps it discreet, while the tamper-resistant lock and reinforced lid add serious security.
Inside, the box is spacious enough for wallets, firearms, some smaller recovery gear, or electronics, and the felt-lined interior prevents rattling or scratches. It’s the kind of thoughtful detail that makes a difference on long drives or bumpy trails.
Installing the Lost Canyon box was refreshingly simple. It’s designed to bolt directly beneath the front passenger seat using factory mounting points, so no drilling or fabrication is required. The powder-coated steel construction is precision-cut to fit snugly without interfering with seat movement or comfort. And once installed, it’s nearly invisible. Exactly what you want from a piece of gear whose whole job is to be overlooked.
Additionally, for those with floor liners, the box does have some room underneath, so there is no issue with liner fitment.
We put a Lost Canyon Under Seat Security Box inside our 2024 Wrangler Rubicon 4xe, and tested it across multiple terrains, from rocky trails in Moab to rainy backroads in Pennsylvania coal country, and it held up flawlessly. No shakes, no rattles, and, most importantly, our belongings were right where we left them when we came back to the vehicle. The lock mechanism is smooth yet solid, and the box interior stayed bone-dry even when we, uhm, ‘forgot’ to put the soft top back on during a storm.
Most importantly, the secure storage gave us confidence. Whether we left the Jeep parked overnight at a trailhead, outside a hotel in our travels, or parked at a store for a bit, we knew our essentials were safe.
Finally, the Lost Canyon Under Seat Security Box is one of those upgrades that feels invisible. It doesn’t scream for attention, but it delivers where it counts: security, durability, and ease of use.
If you’re serious about protecting your gear without sacrificing cabin space or style, this box is a must-have. It’s a small investment for a huge boost in peace of mind.
