Reviews for Quadratec Flashlight Holder for 18-25 Jeep Wrangler JL Unlimited & Gladiator JT
I just ordered the flash light holder and Quadratec flash light.
First the flash light seems really cheesy but have not tried yet as getting batteries this weekend. It did look a bit more robust in the video. As for the holder. I live in a cold climate and kept them in the house to keep warm so the wouldn’t be brittle. I stuck them in my pocket to keep warm going to garage. First one I tried to put on snapped with very little pressure to put on. The second one went right on perfect. For 25$$ I would have thought they would have been a bit stronger. I will reach out to see if they will do anything for me. We will see. Fingers crossed it’s a little disappointing.
Loved the idea. First one I bought I mounted on the roll bar. It broke. Second one I mounted on the side of the driver's seat. It broke. Great idea, but the material of construction is extremely unforgiving.
Holder is great and flashlight is trash...
Had mine for 2 years for my JL i loved it but after a while they will snap off and break so i guess its great if u wish to look at it but not to use often. the clamps that connect to the chair rail system is what snapped . maybe if they had metal this item would be perfect
Works well, but fragile, I just bought one about 6 months ago, hardly used and one clamp already broke
I ordered these at full price and two days after receiving them, they went on sale for $9. I sent it back and ordered a set for the $9. An ultimate credit of $30+ (Shipping and taxes). One of the two pieces was broken on the new set. I reported it and Quadratec sent me a new set and a call tag for the broken set.
I just used the flashlight this weekend, the first time since receiving the latest set of flashlight holders and by the second time I put the flashlight back into the holder, they broke again. The good news is that it just the outermost portion of the gripping tab that broke and the holder still hold the flashlight secure. Hopefully it doesn’t get worse.
Otherwise, a great product. I just think they need to make it out of less brittle plastic.
It's a great idea and fits well. Unfortunately I broke the front bracket after only a couple of uses. I'm going to buy another set and see if it does any better. If it wasn't so handy I wouldn't go through this trouble.
Ordered mine with the Quadratec flashlight to ensure no compatibility issues. The brackets seem okay so far. Time will tell if durability is an issue, as reflected in other reviews. The flashlight is cheaper than a dime store flashlight. First clue is the compass on the end (battery cap) . Initially I thought that's a nice touch, until I immediately realized that it doesn't work at all. Not a good first impression. Then when trying out the flashlight, again very cheap illumination, with a cheap "zoom" rotating bezel. Returning the flashlight to just use my own. So far keeping the brackets to see how they hold up.
Feels kinda cheap. Other than that it works fine.
Holds any flashlight with D batteries fine. Problem is that even when tightened down, one of the brackets has a tendency of flexing and almost popping off the rail when I push the flashlight into it. If they had made the brackets just a little larger around the rail, it would probably prevent that. No issues with seat movement at all.
