The old hood latches were a bit of a struggle to remove as there isn’t much room to get the socket into the inner fender nut. Once removed the new latches went into place pretty easily. My one complaint is everything is made of the billet aluminum except the safety latch, it’s plastic and both of them broke off the second time I opened the hood.

Although I really like the latches, the design and material, I do have one issue. After installation, the one item that holds the latch in place is plastic. This little plastic tab has just broken on one of my latches. Now I'm going to need to put my old OEM latches back on. For the price, they should last longer than 20 months.

These look very cool.
But the way they 'lock' into place is a bad design. We have had a few of the plastic clips break. There needs be a better way to lock them into place.

Look nice and the latches are solid. However the plastic snaps that hold the latch closed broke within 2 openings of the hood. The latch still seems to stay closed well, but it is worrisome. I would uninstall but the old latches (OEM) had dry rotted. 2012 JK 2-Door.

Nice latches to get started. But within a month or two, both of the plastic lock catches broke off. and then a few months later the paint started peeling off and now there are no flags on them anymore. The paint is also peeling off the sides now. I may try to find flag decals to fit in the same area, if not Ill replace them with something better. Too bad, these really fit the tone of my Willies with all the “Since 1941” badging
