I'm new to winches have done a little bit of electrical stuff on the jeep and I'm curious do I have to have a on and off switch to shut the winch off or does it shut off by itself when the remote isnt plugged in or turned on I dont want to install this stealth winch I just bought and install both a win h and a massive draw on my battery is all thanks david
A kill switch is not needed, this will not draw power from the battery unless it is being used. The Amber LED's shut off after 10 seconds being idle.

What winch cover will fit this winch?
The Quadratec Neoprene or Vinyl covers for center mounted solenoids will fit nice and snug. 92122.2100 or 92122.2110

If I buy this winch with the steal cable and later decide I want synthetic line. Can I just change out the lines? Or would I need to buy a new winch with synthetic line?
You can change out the line at any time.

Yes, both versions require pre-tensioning and need to be anchored before use.

The Gear Reduction Ratio is 210:1 and we recommend 650 cold cranking amp rating or greater.

You will need a winch mount for your steel bumper, yes. This winch mounts great with the WARN 101255 Winch Mount Plate for 18-20 Jeep Wrangler JL with Factory Steel Bumper or other winch plates for the factory steel bumper.
