Reviews for Quadratec RES-Q Teton Series Winch
I've had my winch for approx 3yrs ,used 6 times . The first problem was remote quit working so i figured "no biggy just use wired " Then i tried to winch in and winch would not stop had to disconnect to stop. I haven't used since due to it draining my battery down . I read there was a recall but i never received a notice . I would like someone to help get this rectified before i purchase a different winch .
Works well and a great value for what you get. The finish on mine was screwed up though, and the Quadratec logo doesn't go with my Jeep. I plan on figuring out how to remove it.
Winch was easy to install. It was missing the line retainer bolt. I contacted Quadratec the next business day and they sent one out right away.
Lighted spool, waterproof
Good reviews and everything included to get it done with the bumper I chose.
Synthetic rope options
Installed this winch today on my 2020 Diesel Rubicon with factory steel bumper and Warn winch plate. Nice solid installation. The wireless control is a. Plus. Leads we're long enough for the diesel battery location.
So far, so good. Only have a few pulls in with this winch, but it's performed well and looks great. My only complaint is that the mounting bolts for the roller fairlead had tiny low-profile heads which couldn't stand up to being torqued properly. There's plenty of space there for a standard head bolt. Replaced with better grade 8 bolts which were suited to the task.
Just mounted the 10K synthetic rope winch with the Rugged Ridge winch plate and Warn line hook mount. The winch is sleek, has an integrated drum light (which is nice since the winch is inside my factory steel Jeep bumper), and is wired/wireless! Which is super convenient. And for half the cost of a Warn... since I’ll only use it one or twice a year, you know, to pull out a Yoda.. I couldn’t justify the price of a Warn and the Q Series was the answer. Hopefully it’ll last me a few good years!
Only issue I had was with the upper inside passenger bumper bolt. Once the winch and bumper is one you have a millimeter worth of space to crank a socket one click at a time...
Easy to install, looks great. Paired with an ARB stubby bumper. I will be replacing the hook with a Factor 55 solution for flexibility and safety.
