Reviews for AEV 2.5in DualSport XT Suspension System for 07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK
As others have said, this lift is expensive, but worth the money in my opinion. I didnt install it myself so I cant speak on that but the ride and look of my wrangler has been improved drastically with this on there. Would spend the extra money over some other kits again and again for this kit!
I put this lift on my 2017 Recon. The ride is much better than stock even though the original suspension was by no means bad. Others have said you might actually get over 3" of lift before settling. Because the Recon already has a 1" lift over the Rubicon, after settling, my lift is around 1 3/4" to 2" . Very pleased with the ride and appearance with the stock tires and wheels.
I would not hesitate to recommend this kit to anyone interested in a 2.5" lift. I've experienced noticeably improved road handling and trail performance.
Hands down best lift I have ever owned. My 2016 4 door Rubicon rides excellent. I ended up with 2-3/4” overall and that’s very good considering the ACE Engineering front and rear bumper that added almost 300 pounds. If you are currently thinking about this lift go for it. You will be happy
Made my Jeep look much better and it’s definitely a quality kit. Rides better than stock. Worth the money.
This is a quality kit. It gives you just enough lift to fit larger tires, get a little more ground clearance and level the stance of the jeep. The instructions are clear and easy to follow, anyone who is mechanically inclined can install this lift themselves. (Would recommend getting a ratcheting box end wrench for the shock installation.) I have used the suspension both on and off road, it works well everywhere. Not the least expensive kit out there, but you will not suffer buyers remorse with this one. Definitely recommended.
This lift is everything that I had hoped for. My primary use is on a daily driver in NYC. It definitely improved the ride also!
This is a really nice lift! I took my time and installed it by myself in my garage. It probably took me about 8 hours total, including the control arm geometry correction brackets. It was all pretty straight forward, but be sure to upgrade your shipping or else you will get the bump stops a day or two later since they will ship FedEx smartpost. I had to reuse my factory shock bushings since the ones that come on the Billsteins seem to be way too thick. Perfect ride and comfort, and looks very nice!
Great step by step instructions, installed in about 7 hours in my driveway. Amaizing technical support from the Quadratec stuff
Very happy with the lift. Took 3-4 of us approx. 6 hours over two nights to complete. The ride is tight and responsive, and gas mileage didn't take a nose dive. Helps that I purchased the AEV Procal to reprogram the vehicle. Two negatives though. 1. The front passenger side shock required some cutting at the top to gain access for the allen wrench to keep the shock from turning when tightening the nut. Additionally, after taking it in for alignment I had to purchase a pair of camber/caster adjustment bolts to correct the camber geometries. Not a big deal, simple purchase on amazon or at oreilly's, but would have been nice to know ahead of time. Overall, very happy with the lift and quality of the product. Highly recommended.
