I have a sport with the 5” screen. Can the switches work for it too? Or does it have to have the 7” and up screen?

This will work in all model consoles, with all screen sizes.

I have a 2018 MOAB edition which has chrome trim like the Rubicon and this model does not have the rear differential lock switch. If I buy the chrome trim option to match the MOAB, does it come with the 1/2 cubby shell?

No, you receive the cubby or switch bank, if you would like to purchase a 1/2 cubby for either side of that kit you can find them here : https://www.quadratec.com/p/mopar/auxiliary-switch-bank-storage-wrangler-jl-gladiator-jt

does the rubicon kit come with the locker switch if not where can you getit in kit form

No this uses the factory switches for installation. If you need a replacement Rubicon switch see : https://www.quadratec.com/p/mopar/locker-and-stabilizer-switch-jeep-wrangler-jl-and-gladiator-jt-rubicon

Will the switch operate at all without flashing the ECU? I know it won't function with the UConnect system, but will it operate as just a switch to turn on and off any aux system? The reason I ask is because the dealership charges $150.00 to flash the ECU.

Everything should be effected until flashed. The auxiliary system cannot be recognized by the computer or powered until a flash is performed.

Are there any different installation instructions for rubicon versus other models? Or is it just the trim that is different?

The installation is the same, other than the Rubicon Jeeps will have a Locker switch to plug in rather than an empty cubby-hole
Brett W.
Do you have to reflash if you dont necessarily care if it shows up in uconnect?

Yes the flash is required for other functionality that could be blocked without the system being updated.
Zack C.
Does this still work with Jeeps that have the 5 inch screen UConnect?

Yes it does, the lower console is the same and the electric is not disturbed

You mention some special tools in the overview video for this kit. Do you have the part number for those that I can order?

You may want to check a local shop that does a loan-a-tool program for a pin removal tool. They are sold in sets like #W89732. The sets can be pricey if you are only using it for one job.
