Can the crank be mounted to the side rather than the back as pictured?
This is designed to be mounted and operated from the rear of the vehicle.

How secure is that latch on the back window? I would want to store the hardtop suspended in the air. Is it secure enough and designed for that?
The hook actually attaches to the hardtop between the glass and the fiberglass. It has been designed to work for suspending the top in the air.

Does this come with the cable that will go from the hand crank all the way through the pulleys to the Strap?
