DV8 Offroad Rubicon Replica Hood Reviews
Got this hood to replace my factory hood on my JL Unlimited 4 Door Sport S as my original hood was damaged beyond repair due to hail. First impression of this hood is that it looks amazing! Hood is much heavier, of course, than the stock hood due to difference in material used, but is not a deal breaker. Hood is a perfect fit and I am very happy with it. If you like the Rubicon style hood, but you do not want to pay the Mopar price, I highly suggest this hood.
Don't buy it, horrible quality!
My body shop called me and said they fitted the hood before they painted it and found multiple problems. They found lots of manufacturing damage where the bends are. The corners don't match up to the body lines, both sides are a little short. There is a big blob of adhesive on the top from the stuff they use to bond the braces on the bottom. The shipping crate was fantastic, the hood in the crate was just terrible.
I had a make a decision to have the body shop fix it, costing me an additional $400.
This hood is terrible quality.
