The patented design mounts to the windshield “A” pillars instead of the doors while maintaining the factory mirror head locations! Just install them and forget about it. Kits include specialized filler plates that mount to the door’s factory mirror mount location and feature a small radius cam that contacts the spring-loaded mirror arm to gently nudge them outward to allow the door to fully open. Quadratec Automatic Billet Aluminum Mirror Movers Reviews
Quadratec, do what you have to do to make a deal with Jeep! This is how the mirrors should have come from the factory. The fit and finish is just about as good as it could be. If it didn't say Quadratec on the mirror itself, I would think it was stock. Install was a breeze. Instructions were detailed and accurate. I caught these on a sale, but they have been in my cart for a long time. These are worth the cost of admission for their ease of use and how easy they make taking off the doors now. And the 2 best parts: I don't have to worry about a second set of mirrors, and I can see the passenger side mirror with no issues!
