Quadratec Heritage Premium Reclining Front Seats Reviews
These seats are awesome! I wish I had known that they existed when I had my TJ! But I needed a new garage/office chair, and I wanted to see if I could make something that would fit in. It was really simple to make a bracket that I could mount the seat to that would also attach to an old office chair base I had, and now I'm always in the driver's seat! The material on the seat is great because it's easy to clean off and it's been able to withstand the abuse my young children give it. It's also comfortable for longer periods of time, which is great.
Nice upgrade. The install was easy with the adapter brackets. The seats look great and clean easily. They are comfortable but a little firm in my opinion.
Questions

Why the "Pull Strap" is Missing
The strap found on your factory seats is part of the original seat's internal cable system, which links a pull-point on the seat back to the release lever on the floor riser. Because the Quadratec Heritage seats are aftermarket units, they do not include this specific internal cable or the external pull-strap.
How to Engage Tilt and Tumble
To tumble the passenger seat forward with these new seats installed, you will typically use a two-step manual process:
Recline the Seat Back: Use the reclining lever on the side of the Quadratec seat to fold the seat back as far forward as possible.
Release the Floor Latch: Since there is no longer a cable-actuated strap on the seat back, you must manually reach down and pull the release lever located on the factory floor riser itself. This is the same mechanical latch the original strap used to pull. Once this latch is released, the entire assembly (seat and riser) will tumble forward toward the dashboard as intended.

While these seats are engineered to resist the sun's rays, cosmetic UV fading is typically classified as "normal wear and tear" and is generally not covered under the manufacturer's 3-year warranty.
In extreme climates (like the Southwest US), you might see slight lightening after 3–5 years if the Jeep is left uncovered daily. In more moderate climates or if you use a bikini top, they can look new for a decade or more.
Water Resistance
Vinyl Material: Because they are wrapped in automotive-grade vinyl, the surfaces are highly water-resistant. Rainwater will bead up on the seat rather than soaking into the foam, making them very easy to wipe dry.
The "Jeep Factor": While the fabric is water-resistant, the stitching and seams are not 100% waterproof. If left in a heavy downpour, moisture can eventually seep through the needle holes into the foam.
Cleaning: This vinyl construction makes them excellent for trail rigs, as you can easily clean off mud or spills with a damp cloth without staining.

Because they share a similar footprint with factory "high-back" seats (integrated headrests), many universal-fit and CJ/YJ/TJ high-back specific covers will work. However, since the Heritage seats have reinforced side bolsters, you should look for covers with some "stretch" or those designed for "sport" style bucket seats.
Diver Down Seat Covers - These are designed to fit the OEM high back seats and may fit.
