Quadratec QRC Rear Bumper Reviews
Able to reuse many factory parts
My Gladiator was hit in a parking lot...decided to replace Jeep plastic bumper with this steel bumper. It was nice that it used the stock reflector, already changed those out with Oracle backup lights and they worked with no problems
I’m not sure why Jeep puts plastic bumpers on Gladiators, but thankfully Quadratec comes to the rescue.
The QRC rear bumper fits really well with the QRC side steps we have on our truck and makes our whole build look and feel cohesive.
I really like how this bumper has a flat top which functions very well as a step when the bed is closed. It’s also nice that it has a cut-out for the factory tow hook. While I did have to take one of the tow hooks out to have this bumper fit on our Mojave, it was worth it to get some steel back there. We also only ever had one tow hook on our Wrangler, so I don’t think I’m really losing much.
The hardest part of the whole install was getting the wiring harness for the license plate lights unclipped (I’m not sure why I always struggle with plastic clips). That reminds me—another thing about this bumper that I really appreciate is that it maintains the normal license plate position so you don’t have to worry about an extra bracket that can get torn off when you’re off-road.
