QuadraTop Gen II Complete Soft Top in Premium Sailcloth for 07-18 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited JK

I bought my JKU back in October, with the factory hard top. I figured I would wait until the summer and purchase this top specifically. I've dealt with Quadratec parts in the past with previous Jeeps, and I knew I would get a solid top from them. Install was pretty simple, however the instructions were not the greatest. Several bars for the support frame need to be installed in a specific orientation, and the instructions simply showed the ends (which on several look very similar at a glance). Just take your time, and especially use the video install guide from Quadratec. I would HIGHLY recommend letting the fabric sit out in the heat for an extended period of time BEFORE trying to attach to the frame. I left mine outside for a few hours, and even then I was unable to install the rear window right away. The top was simply too tight to pull the lower rear window bar into position. No big deal, the weather was great, I just left the rear window out for a few days. All in all, I would highly recommend this top. My kids love the flip back feature, we use that a lot when cruising around town on a sunny day.

after having it a year i am noticing a few issues. NOW only have this on during the spring and summer. the quadratec emblem is rusting, there is a wear spot developing and the zippers are an issue. they are plastic and like to come apart on the sails. there is also the issue where the teeth don't interlock, some have bigger gaps.
other than that it's an ok top

The instructions for installing the hardware are from Bestop; they were ambiguous and not intuitive at best. The Quadratec instructions on installing the fabric were better. We installed the top in June, but Michigan weather wasn't reliable enough to provide a hot, sunny day when we had time to do the install. So, I had to drive around with the rear corner inserts unhooked for a couple of weeks since the fabric hadn't stretched enough yet. After a couple weeks of the top baking in the sun, I tried hooking the rear corners into the body of the Jeep, but the plastic inserts would still bend upward because the fabric was too taught. To this day, the inserts are still bent, and I don't think they'll ever sit flat the way they are supposed to. Additionally, I still have to use a bar clamp to secure the sunroof latches to the windshield frame because A) the fabric is too tight and B) the hardware doesn't hold the pivot point of the sunroof mechanism forward enough for the sunroof latches to fall into place. I have not been too pleased with the fit, but it keeps the rain out when it's up which is what's important. The point of a soft top is to drive with it down as much as possible, right? One side note, there is a small metal Quadratec logo that is riveted to the fabric of one of the side windows, and it already has rust spots. It doesn't really affect anything, I was just surprised to see that. Overall, I was hoping for a better experience after paying almost $1,000 for this, but from what I've seen this is what you go through with any new soft top installation. In the end, it serves its purpose just fine, even if the bent rear corners bother me every time I walk around the back of my Jeep.
