The tire carrier installs directly to our specially designed Rear Bumper and features all of the following:
- Solid Steel Tube Construction (Thick .120 Wall 2x3 Rectangle Steel Tubing)
- Heavy Duty 1-1/2 Solid Steel Greasable Machined Pivot Pin that is inserted through an extra thick ¼ Wall DOM Steel Tube
- Fully Adjustable Sliding Tire Mount for various width tires and wheels (No Drilling Necessary
unlike other competitor models)
- Pre-Cut Hole for mounting our 2 LED Third Brake Light
- Plastic Machined Alignment Block used to isolate any rattle noise and vibration between the Tire Carrier and the Tailgate
- Carries up to 37 Tire
- All necessary Grade 8 & Grade 5 mounting hardware included
All Tire Carriers receive a thorough zinc phosphate rinse and cleaning, then are E-Coated and Powder Coated with an easy to clean light black texture. The textured powder coat matches the texture on the stock black fender flares almost perfectly. Completely Bolt on, No Drilling Necessary.
Level 3AdvancedTools Needed: Ratchet, 18mm, 5/8, 3/4, 1/2, 9/16, 13mm socket, Torque wrench, 18mm, 5/8, 11/16", 7/16, 1/2, 3/4 wrench, hand drill, 7/16 drill bit, T-55 Torx, 5lb hammer or vise, grease gun, lithium grease, wire cutters and safety glasses.

HyLine OffRoad Rear Bumper & Tire Carrier Combo Reviews
Installed on my 1992 YJ. I ordered this bumper for the following reasons: Made in ‘Merica, I liked the unique way it opens with the tailgate, and the fact that it was listed as “in stock” (although shipped from a third party) It took 5 weeks for this bumper to be delivered! The customer service dept from Quadratec was very helpful, and i learned that a portion of the bumper was back ordered at Hyline. It came well packaged in 2 separate boxes. It is heavy and seems to be well made with quality craftsmanship (well worth the wait!)
It took over 3 hours for my brother and I to install, but that was because i decided to drop my gas tank so i could properly install and tighten all the bolts that it came with. It looks good, seems secure with no wobble when driving around. I really like the fact that it opens with my tailgate and it doesn't block the gas tank like some other tire carriers.
I would recommend this bumper to others, just be prepared to mess around with the gas tank-which is a whole other project!
Easy to install. Seems to be great quality and made in the USA. Time will tell how durable it is. Definitely like how it functions. Would recommend it.
Great Product, I'm glad I went with Hyline Bumper/ Tire carrier combo. Install was easy and it looks great.
